Air Fryer Omelette
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 8–10 minutes
Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup diced bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- ¼ cup diced cooked chicken, turkey, or ham, optional
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions or parsley
- Cooking spray or melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
- Lightly grease a small, air-fryer-safe baking dish or cake pan that fits comfortably inside your air-fryer basket.
- Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl. Add the milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Whisk until thoroughly combined and slightly frothy.
- Stir in the bell pepper, onion, optional cooked meat, half of the shredded cheese, and chopped green onions or parsley.
- Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
- Carefully place the dish inside the air-fryer basket. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
- Check after 7 minutes because cooking times can vary between air-fryer models. Add another 1–2 minutes if the center is still runny.
- Let the omelette rest for 2 minutes. Loosen the edges with a spatula, transfer it to a plate, and serve warm.
Tips
- Dice the vegetables finely so they cook quickly.
- Avoid adding too many watery vegetables, as they can make the omelette soggy.
- Sauté mushrooms or spinach first to remove excess moisture.
- Use only fully cooked meat in the omelette.
- The eggs should reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
Storage
Allow leftovers to cool completely, then refrigerate them in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 320°F for 2–3 minutes or microwave briefly until hot.
