🧄🍯 Garlic Butter Honey Baked Salmon
Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Servings: 4 servings
🛒 Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with butter or cooking oil.
2. Season the Salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
3. Prepare the Garlic Butter Honey Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, honey, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Whisk until everything is well mixed.
4. Arrange and Add the Sauce
Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish, skin-side down. Pour the garlic butter honey sauce evenly over each fillet, making sure the tops are well coated.
5. Bake the Salmon
Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The salmon should turn opaque and flake easily with a fork. For food safety, cook to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
6. Broil for a Golden Finish
For a beautifully caramelized top, broil the salmon for 1–2 minutes at the end. Watch closely to prevent the honey and garlic from burning.
7. Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley. Spoon the warm garlic butter sauce from the baking dish over the salmon before serving.
💡 Tips for the Best Salmon
- Avoid overcooking: Check the salmon early to help keep it moist and tender.
- Get a golden top: Broil briefly at the end, watching carefully.
- Add extra freshness: Serve with lemon wedges for a bright citrus flavor.
- Choose your sides: Pair with roasted vegetables, steamed broccoli, rice, or mashed potatoes.
Enjoy your sweet, savory, buttery salmon! 🍋🐟
